आसमान का तारा
मैं आसमान का वो तारा हूँ शायद,
जिसकी चमक देखकर लोग
मुतास्सिर तो हो जाते हैं,
पर इस बात से बेख़बर रहते हैं—
कि मैं कितनी जल रही हूँ
अपनी रोशनी को बरकरार रखने के लिए।
हर रात खुद को थोड़ा-थोड़ा तोड़ती हूँ,
ताकि किसी और की सुबह रोशन हो सके।
अपने दर्द को ख़ामोशी से
मुस्कान में बदल लेती हूँ।
लोग कहते हैं,
"मैं भी उस जैसी बनना चाहता हूँ,"
पर यह भूल जाते हैं—
ना जाने कितनी रातों को
मैंने उजाले की तरह काट दिया है,
बिना थके, बिना रुके—
सिर्फ दूसरों की राहों को रोशन करने के लिए।
मैं सिर्फ एक चमकता हुआ तारा नहीं,
एक मिसाल हूँ उस रोशनी की
जो हर अंधेरे से लड़ती है—
खुद को जला कर
किसी और का आसमान सजाती है।
